Among patients who came for temporomandibular arthrosis treatment many complained of persistent fatigue. One patient was in a good shape, had regular exercises, and had no major stresses and yet had persisting tiredness and had no motivations at all. Causes for persistent fatigue are diverse and also complicated that it is not just the words that can describe it. And the origin of fatigue is still not clearly understood in medical field.
Being tired can be one's own opinion that it is more accurate when one tells it by him/herself.
The general causes of fatigue are as follows:

1. Physical labor (overworking)
2. Mental Stress
3. Related from diseases

First, physical labor is the least problem to worry about. Anyone feels tired when overworked or over-exercised and this can easily be relieved by taking a nap or having a few resting days. Fatigue from mental stress can also be controlled easily as one knows the causes. Fatigue from diseases relates to many other diseases. The major diseases relate to fatigue are diabetes, tuberculosis, a malignant tumor, liver disorder, kidney disorder, and heart disorder. But only about 10% of the patients with persistent fatigue were found to have one of these disorders, and other 90% of the patients did not have any relation to these. In other words, 90% of the patients do not know of its causes. When patient with chronic disease feel fatigue, one should get a treatment from the specialized doctor immediately.
The real problem is the fatigue without its origin. What I am trying to imply is this ill-defined chronic fatigue. Then this chronic fatigue really does not have any causes? To be accurate, it is not that there aren't any causes; it is that the scientists and doctor have not yet found the causes.

I do believe that one of the major causes for chronic fatigue is with the dental problems. The prior aspect to think between teeth and fatigue would be the inferior posture of one's body.

I will talk more about inferior posture in "How is your posture?" section. In many cases, people with dental problems have one side shoulder tilted and head postured out. With this, all muscles holding neck would be pressured to support the head. Consequently, there will be stiffness at the back of the head and neck. A few minutes with this posture give you a pain, imagine having it for years and decades. You would end up with fatigue from tensioned neck muscle which would later affect pelvis and other skeletal balance with other muscles.
The second thought would be the fatigue from different leg lengths. Malocclusion often affects even lengths of legs that one leg grows longer than the other. When malocclusion is treated, the other leg comes to the same length as the other in seconds. Our body instinctively wants to be balanced and when one leg is shorter than the other, the neurons from the legs constantly signals brain to get long to be balanced. If this becomes the dental problem however, the leg endlessly signals brain unless teeth problems are taken care of. This becomes bigger problem since we don't feel the signal. This is exactly what Dr. Hans Selye talks about as one of the physical stresses.
Physical stress as well as mental stress affects hypothalamus especially in the critical point. The reaction results increase in excretion of epinephrine. When doing so, whole application to adopt to stress begins to accelerate. Then glucose is provided from glycogen and glyceride stored in fat cells gives off free fatty acids for fast energy support. Abnormal acceleration in making free energies increases excretion of minerals such as amino acids, calium, and potassium, decreases calcium storage, and Vitamin C in body becomes insufficient that psychiatric specialists suggest taking vitamin C for stresses. Also stress accelerates heartbeat, increases blood pressure to improve blood circulation through muscles, and stimulates CNS (Central Nervous System). People with malocclusion are not aware of physical stresses applied that they constantly suffer from fatigues.

A simple experiment can tell how much stress is put on person because of the difference in legs' length. When you try on a sock on only one of your foot and walk, you would instantly feel how awkward and tiring to walk. A sock has less than 1mm thickness and yet gives you quite discomfort. Imagine having one of your legs shorter for few millimeters which would be like walking with several layers of socks on one of your foot and other foot naked. I would like to anyone who thinks to have different leg length to try this experiment and you would know how this difference in leg length affects enormously on fatigue.
Next would be the effect of trigeminal nerve.
Teeth are under control of trigeminal nerve that malocclusion effects trigeminal nerve to give a lot of tiredness on body. (Trigeminal mainly dominates nerves in face, head and skin, however, most of them focuses on teeth and teeth formation ). Trigeminal nerve is the thickest cranial nerve and is placed in most upper head area for general sensing nerves that small problem in trigeminal nerve has quite possibility of giving great pressure on moral and autonomic nervous system of the body.

Part where trigeminal nerve bodies gathered in brain is known as the trigeminal nucleus. Trigeminal nucleus is known be the biggest and longest nerve among cranial nucleuses and this means that trigeminal nucleus carries most complex jobs in all cranial nerves.

The neuron system in our body is very complex. In spite of the active researches for brain nowadays, we only get very limit information from them and more mysteries are laid unsolved.
As a simple introduction for the brain and neurons in our body, a brain in a human is composed of about 15 million neurons and 500 trillion synapses (connects two neurons). There are dendrites (branched projections of a neuron that act to conduct the electrochemical stimulation received from other neural cells to the cell body) on all neural cells and numerous synapses on a neuron body. These synapses are counted about 500 on smaller neural cell and about 20,000 on bigger neural cell. You could find in cerebrum cortex average of 6000 synapses on regular neural cells and at least 25000 synapses on interneuron of a hippocampus. When you think a whole brain as a giant computer, one neurons works as the complex system of a small laptop.

In other words, cranial nerves are millions times more complex than a spider web communicating each other and even control or stimulate each other's signal.

While our whole body is composed of 10 million sensory neurons (charge of senses), and 500,000 motor neurons (charge of action), it is composed of more than 2 trillion interneuron. (sensory:motor:inter = 20:40000:1) This ratio part definitely shows how complex this system works in our body.

Also, motor neurons and sensory neurons all adds up to reach about 20% of the cranial nerves where rest 80% of them are all interneuron.

The signals of a neuron does not only go one way but also receives signals from side neurons, brain, and body part neurons to be controlled and stimulated at the same time. Thus, these complexities give enough understanding to realize when trigeminal nerves, the thickest and longest cranial nerves in brain, is distracted from malocclusion, it can give critical effects on whole body systems.

It is a similar principle to that all the data gets mess when there is too much information in a computer system. This aspect of trigeminal nerves has been proposed from an anesthesia specialist from Japan, Dr. Teruaki Sumioka and his dissertation "Systemic effects of the peripheral disturbance of the trigeminal system: Influences of the occlusal destruction in dogs".

Since trigeminal system needs to be handled in professional medical field that the dissertation proposed it simply as following. Also, vagus nerve which dominates most part of the parasympathetic nerve of viscera is closely related to teeth however, is mentioned lightly as this too has to be handle in professional medical explanation.(one can possibly predict the close relationship between functions of vagus nerve, glossopharyngeus nerve, and trigeminal nerve since all of them genetically come from the same branchial arch.)

Transformation of malocclusion effects formation and excretion of pituitary gland which in turn stresses on physical fatigue. The major case would be shown as hypothyroidism. Different symptoms are shown from the hypothyroidism when there is a problem in pituitary gland, but most of all, body can easily feel fatigue.

Lactic acid can be one of the causes for physical fatigue. Lactic acid, as we all know, forms a lot from excessive exercises. Person with malocclusion tend have accumulated lactic acid even though one does not exercise often. More accumulation gives person to feel fatigue in the afternoon and causes one to have light sleep and to have frequent urine excretion that gives you more fatigue.

Malocclusion also gives awkwardness in movement of the skull. Skull movement helps circulation of cerebrospinal fluid and malfunctioning movement would affect one's concentration and stresses on fatigue.

So far, we have been exploring about the relation between teeth and chronic fatigue. We should however think of one thing about fatigue without teeth problems. That is the possibility in infection of Candida albicans. It is a diploid fungus and causal agent of opportunistic oral and genital infections in humans. Patients with chronic fatigue should have a test for Candida albicans infection. (More information in [Candidiasis] section)

Recent days, it is widely mentioned of researches on E.B.virus which causes Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. According to the researches, a specific virus exists as to the cause of chronic fatigue syndrome. But, most patients suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome do not shown to have E.B. virus and even if it actually causes fatigue, there isn't a perfect cure for it yet that one can hardly find the effective treatment.

In addition, snoring is considered as one of the big causes of chronic fatigue. And teeth give critical affect on snoring. (More information in [Snoring] section)  

Consequently, problems of teeth cause chronic fatigue through many courses.

His main symptoms were excessive snoring and chronic fatigue syndrome. He used to be so tired all day that he always went to bed before 9PM and woke up after 7AM.
He had a supplement for correction and treatment for arch joint and that day, he could stay up until 11pm and he recently watched a movie until 1 am without feeling fatigue. Snoring got better of course. He showed lack of concentration in this school that he had trouble and low grade but after the supplement, he was able to sit on his chair longer while studying and improved on concentration and memorization and moreover he didn't trip as much as he used to. (He had to almost crawl up a small hill worrying he would trip, but now he could run as fast as he can on a rough mountain.) Moreover, his mother did not have to visit his school teacher not as much as before that he became much calmer and does not make much trouble.
